In home newborn photo sessions are really popular because they are so convenient for families. You don’t have to leave your home which can be extremely nice when you have a newborn, a preschooler, and school aged children. These lifestyle sessions should be all about you loving on your baby in your home. It’s nice when the older siblings have had enough they can take a break and head to their rooms or get a snack while we continue to photograph baby with mom or dad or alone. They can come back when they are ready and they will come back, you just have to give them time. If not, I have stickers and it’s a wonder how well stickers work plus they photoshop off really well in case they want to put one on their forehead.

This is baby boy number three for this family. I love that she has all boys. Boy moms rock! And boys, they just love their moms. They really do. I’ve been photographing this family since the oldest was in the NICU. The middle child ended up in the NICU for a very short stay and baby number three came right on home. All 5 lbs of him. He was born a bit early and our session happened a bit later I think he was almost a month old but still only 7lbs when I met him. Still such a little peanut.

Mom wanted matching jammies so we made sure to do that first and then they changed. Mom is wearing a dress from my studio wardrobe and dad fitted out with a shirt I brought a long. Boys are wearing items I suggested since older brother is 5 he has now outgrown the studio wardrobe. But boys are really easy. I always recommend henley shirts for a good comfortable shirt for boys.
