As a twin cities family photographer, I've explored endless fun and beautiful locations for photo sessions. From the open fields to the urban landscape, the twin cities has it all! But when the Uithoven family told me they wanted to explore a spring flowering tree location, I knew exactly where to take them for the session of their dreams. We absolutely had to plan a Como Park family photography session!

Como Park is a 100 year old park in St. Paul and it's a great location for family photos in spring, summer, fall or winter.   I have been photographing at this location since I moved to Minnesota over 10 years ago.  But in the last few years is when I noticed just how beautiful it is in the spring with my own kids but I knew right away that I had to bring a family and my camera here ASAP! And this stunning spot with its flowering trees especially in the spring, was the perfect backdrop for this family!  

The flowering trees we showcased during our St. Paul family session gave the whole session a joyful feel, and the weather was absolutely perfect.  It rained somewhere because at the end of our session a rainbow appeared but the rain never poured upon us. 

Kate & Adam looked so at home walking around the park and their kiddos had so much fun playing hide n seek wherever we went. I also loved the way they dressed to perfectly complement the location. I always advise families to look up images of their session location beforehand to ensure perfect color choices, and this crew definitely chose wisely! Choosing a color palette isn't an easy task, especially for a family of 4, but I never get tired of helping families build the perfect wardrobe for their session. For our Como Park family photography session, we went with a lovely sage green color which paired lovely with the pink flowers on the trees.  Mom's dress is now available in the studio wardrobe so you too can look fabulous.  So, if you're considering a family session of your own,but are nervous about what to wear, don't let that stop you from booking! I promise, with my help it will be easy and effortless!
