One of the things I wanted to start doing a bit more this year is actually blogging a bit more about my personal life, you know stuff like our Easter! I know this is riveting and you can't wait to hear more but I promise it won't actually get too personal. lol.
My kids are getting older so our Easter Sunday isn't quite as cute as it once was or how cute I'm sure many of my readers Easters are. I miss those cute days. But my kids actually still do an egg hunt. I ask them every year if they are up for it. We have always done our egg hunts outside except for one year when it was pouring rain and the bunny left the eggs in a basket for us to hide inside the house. Let's just say that didn't go over well with my kids and we never did it inside again. I grew up in California and I think it's much more common to have your egg hunt outside, than here in Minnesota where I think it's more common to do it inside. Probably because you never really know what the weather will be like on Easter. Usually the Easter bunny hides the eggs but this year the Moundsview High School Girls Dance Team helped him out and they hid the eggs the night before as a fundraiser. What a great idea! Next year I'll have to do more eggs! I think we did 50 this year but the kids are too fast.
Also traditionally on Easter I make a brunch for us. A french toast & an egg hash-brown casseroles. I should have taken pictures of the food but I'm usually too tired from cooking to think about getting out the camera so you'll have to trust me that it was pretty yummy and the family ate it all as leftovers too. But I did get a picture of me with my mimosa. It was pretty good too except I think next year I'm going to try champagne with a sorbet. I'm not sure why I never thought of that before but it hit me just how good that might be. This was a champagne, frozen strawberry and some liqueur I forgot what I used drink.
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and I hope next year's is just as lovely.
