When this mama inquired about a fun-filled fall photo session for she and her daughter, I was extremely excited because photographing motherhood is my absolute favorite thing to photograph. I have had the pleasure of photographing this mama since baby was in her belly.  This mother/daughter duo is so close to each other.  I couldn't help but smile as they snuggled with each other the whole session.  Never mind that is was super cold so snuggling was the best way to keep warm!

And while it's natural to worry about whether your kiddo will open up to me and not stay attached to you the whole time.  It really doesn't matter if they don't want to leave your side because that just makes the images that much sweeter.  I always tell parents to go with the flow and it always works out!

As you can see from even just a quick glance through their photos, the genuine connection, love, and joy are the qualities that turn beautiful photos into the kind that take your breath away! Those sincere moments of connection are the ones you'll treasure for decades.

When I'm planning every photo session my number one goal is to bring out the unique personality of the person in front of my lens! I noticed right away that mama and daughter were especially tender and gentle, so I made it my mission to capture that in photos! By letting mom hug and hold her daughter during the session I was able to highlight what makes them so special!

It's also so important to me that photos depicting motherhood don't just hide away on our computer hard drive forever. I encourage all my clients to invest in displays for their images, whether that be through an heirloom album to pass around on holidays or a beautiful barn wood frame like this mom ordered.
