Motherhood sessions in the studio are absolutely fabulous. This can be done as petite sessions anytime during the year or if you're lucky enough to catch the Motherhood Event in April (this year April 3rd) then you can sign up for a mini session. I only hold 2-3 mini sessions a year so this is a great opportunity to get beautiful portraits of you and your baby for a great price.

As I mentioned the Motherhood Event is occurring this April 3rd, 2022 at the Northeast Minneapolis studio. These 15 minute sessions are the perfect length to get a few portraits in. The studio wardrobe will be available and while not required highly suggested. I've been photographing for over 12 years and one of the many things I've learned over the years is the better you are dressed the better you will love your photos.

I know there is a trend of being casual in your portraits and while it's important to stay true to who you are, I do highly suggest dressing your best for portraits. This actually keeps your portraits timeless. There are so many good cameras (iPhone included) that you don't need to invest in someone to take snapshots of your everyday unless of course you're looking for a documentary photographer but that is a different genre that we are not talking about here. I suggest clients stay away from t-shirts and jeans and think about wearing something you would wear to a best friend's wedding, or even church when investing in portraits.

This is one of the main reasons I've created a studio wardrobe for clients. I want clients to look and feel their best. It really is amazing how important the role that wardrobe plays in your portraits. It can make or break your session.
