I probably photograph in the NICU's about twice a month. I so enjoy meeting these families and this beautiful baby at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's hospital was no exception. During the summer months I get to meet more siblings too as was the case here with big brother who had turned 3 in June. (Usually during flu season older siblings are not allowed in the NICU)
This baby girl was born at 23 weeks (weighing 14oz) and has been in the NICU since her birth in February. They live 2 hours from the hospital and have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Since the family has a 3 year old visiting is difficult. Baby girl was just moved to a more private room and hopefully nearing the end of her stay. She is on minimal breathing support, cannula, and starting to try bottle feeding. This made for a good time to get pictures taken. So without further adieu let's meet this beautiful NICU baby.
