NICU Session at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital

When I received this moms NICU request I just knew I needed to photograph her beautiful baby girl. She told me photos were so important to her and how much she loves to have high quality photos of her family, but during this time her focus had definitely shifted and she was not able to get the nice photos that she would love since she was so busy loving on their little girl. (and she mentioned how she thought my work was beautiful so you know that made my day too)

I don't like to mention children's names on my website but I do want to just say that this little angel has thee MOST beautiful name I've ever heard. Seriously it's stunning. I have no doubt she'll grow and become everything her name stands for.

Little miss was in the NICU for 164 days until just this past Thanksgiving when she was able to go home and meet her 3 older siblings. I believe their faith has no doubt helped them through the difficult days and while their baby may still have a long road ahead at least they are all together.

I photographed mama and daughter when baby was just 4 months old. She was born at 23 weeks and 3 days weighing 1lb 7 ounces and just 11.25 inches long! But as we know the smallest things bring us the most joy in our lives. I'm so excited to share their beautiful images from our NICU session together at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's hospital.
