The Tiny Footprints Project announced recently that they will be permanently closing the project.

It is with both great sadness and abundant pride that we are announcing the permanent closure of The Tiny Footprints Project. This mission grew larger and faster than we ever could have imagined, but that growth also left us unable to properly staff the project to adequately move forward with it.

Please know that this decision was not come to hastily. But as hospitals begin to re-open their doors to photographers and as our inbox began to ping to life once again, we have come to the very difficult realization that it was time to make some final decisions about the future of this project, which has been a dear part of our lives for so many years.

With the support and dedication of all of you, our photographers, The Tiny Footprints Project has provided over THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED sessions to families during their NICU journeys. During that time, we have been blessed with the time and talent of nearly 500 photographers, many taking on sessions hours outside their hometowns. The abundance of love offered through this Project have never gone unnoticed.

You have given a gift that will never be forgotten by families, or by any of us. Thank you for sticking with us through thick and thin, through our growing pains, our struggles and our triumphs. We hope that those of you wishing to continue to provide this cherished gift, have the opportunity to contact your local NICUs, to let them know about your services. Again on behalf of the volunteer staff, and so many families whose lives you have touched with your gift, THANK YOU.

I was extremely saddened to hear the news but it wasn't all that surprising actually. The last few years there started to be a struggle and I actually started taking on NICU clients through my website which really helped get clients in faster.

So while The Tiny Footprints Project may no longer be around, I will still be taking on NICU clients and giving them beautiful images from their stay. Meeting these families and giving back in this way really feeds my soul and I'm proud to have been a participating photographer with TTFP for over 4 years.
