Chances are you have flash drives scattered around filled with images and your computer and phones are full of memories from birthdays, vacations and other special events in your life. While many of these images can stay safely stored away there is a handful that you might love to have to hang on the walls in your home so you can look at them regularly and reminisce. Most people tend to put off hanging their favorite photos simply because they aren't sure of what frame is best to show off these memories. Consider these tips when selecting your frame.
Tips for Choosing the Perfect Frame:
1. Consider the image you are framing.
From the colors in the image to the sentiment behind the image, you want to choose a frame that will complete the smaller details of the image. Images that are vibrant and colorful can be best paired with a neutral frame to balance it out. Other color prints can be paired with a colored frame that brings out one of the colors in the image. Black and white images can also draw in more attention with a colored frame. Images that are black and white from a special event might, however, be best in a black or white frame to enhance the elegance.
2. Consider where you are hanging the photo.
The room where you are hanging your photo should also be considered. You want to make sure the frame you choose coordinates with the rest of the color scheme and style of the room. You want the photos to accent the room décor and not just stand out as a distraction.
3. Quality of the frame matters.
Frames are not just meant to decorate a room, a frame is also meant to keep the image well protected. Going with a high quality frame will protect the image from a number of outside elements like moisture, light, and dirt. For images that you want to truly preserve and enjoy for a lifetime, you should place in a frame that is of the highest quality.
