If you’ve taken some creative shots lately but want to make sure they really stand out online, a photo editing app can make all the difference.
If you’ve recently opened the Apple or Google Play store, you will see just how many photography app options there are out there.
To make things a little easier, let’s look at some of the top app choices for both Android and iPhone users.
- Snapseed. Available on iOS and Android, this free app is one of the most powerful and comes highly recommended by beginner and seasoned mobile photographers. The app offers an intuitive interface and an array of features, many of which can be found on desktop photo editing software. You can even create your own filters from scratch.
- VSCO. This app is all about the filters and will give your photos a different look and feel to Instagram’s filters. The app offers a good selection of editing tools and once you’re done, you can even share your image on their online community. The VSCO app is also free and available on iOS and Android.
- Adobe Photoshop Express. If you’re familiar with Photoshop, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a version for your iOS and Android device too. The easy-to-use app has all of the tools you really need to make your photos look great, and it’s free too.
- Photo Collage. If you’re not too excited about filters but want to add a creative touch to your photos, the Photo Collage app is a must-have. This free app offers thousands of different layouts to give your photos a creative twist. As an added bonus, it also offers some basic editing tools.
- Visage. Fan of the selfie? This is definitely an app you’ll want to download. Visage was specifically designed to retouch selfies and it’s easy to use too. Smooth out your skin, whiten your teeth, reduce shine and more. Unfortunately, unless you’re willing to pay a small fee, your finished selfie will have a branded hashtag at the bottom of it.
- SKRWT. If you’ve ever taken a great shot that wasn’t quite lined up right, the SKRWT app will help you to correct it. Easily adjust the perspective of all your photos for less than a dollar.
- TouchRetouch. Sometimes you manage to get the perfect shot, only to notice that there’s a random object in it. For less than $2, you can use the TouchRetough app to easily remove unwanted objects from your favorite shots.
There really is a photo editing app for everyone, it just depends on what you want to achieve.
