Are you ready for this month's what to wear for you family photo session? With all these cold days ahead of us we've headed back to the studio or into our homes for lifestyle in home sessions. It's also good to start planning for those beautiful spring sessions outside among the blossoms; my favorite! Also keep in mind April 3rd will be my Motherhood Event! The ever popular mommy & me sessions that are sure to sell out quick so save the date and get on the VIP list for first priority of booking. The list is already getting long!
I'm sharing this month this beautiful dress from Doen. And even better I just got it into the studio as a size large. The reason I tend to buy larger dresses is because we can pin them and it gives the opportunity for all body types to enjoy the dress. This will look beautiful in your home, in the studio or on location for a family session. I actually have daughter's dress as well in a size 4.
With children you should consider sizing down. This is pretty important. I know you want to buy your child something they will grow into but that's not going to photograph well. It really needs to fit well to photograph well. It's another reason I offer a studio wardrobe for clients. Don't want to buy your kids something to wear? That's ok I've got you covered. With plenty of neutrals in my wardrobe for kids under 5 I'm sure I have something you'll love. And just ask me to send you a picture of what I have for your child's size (remember size down!) and I'd be happy to show you. The only time we've had to size up for children is if your child is really tall for their age. It's not really an issue for boys but for girls wearing dresses sometimes the dresses are too short but a quick tip for this is dress extenders. I have one that I use to use for my daughter plus it adds a little something something to the dress. So without further adieu let's get to this month's style board. Enjoy!
