Looking for a more casual outfit instead of a "frilly" dress?  Wondering what to wear for your Minneapolis family photography session?  This month's style board focuses on a more casual look which includes a dress that would look great alone or with white jeans or even leggings if you don't want bare legs.  Mom's dress is now available in the studio wardrobe and available in size medium.  This looks to run large but would be great on any mama, pregnant or not.  This will look beautiful in your home, in the studio or on location for a family session. I also have available brother's knit romper and shirts similar to dads available in my studio wardrobe.

I love photographing families in neutral colors.  It's classic and keeps the focus entirely on the love of your family where it should be.  You don’t want everyone in one color though.  It’s really nice to mix textures and patterns and putting sister in a floral print and brother in a fun knit is the perfect combination for family photo sessions.

A note about sizing clothing pieces for children; you should consider sizing down. This is pretty important. I know you want to buy your child something they will grow into but that's not going to photograph well. It really needs to fit properly to photograph well. It's another reason I offer a studio wardrobe for clients. Don't want to buy your kids something to wear that they will quickly outgrow? That's ok I've got you covered. With plenty of neutrals in my wardrobe for kids under 5 I'm sure I have something you'll love. I even actually have sizes for older kids too but ask first because I don’t have much in the bigger sizes available but you never know!  If you want me to send you a picture of what I have for your child's size I'd be happy to show you just contact me. The only time we've had to size up for children is if your child is really tall for their age. It's not really an issue for boys but for girls wearing dresses sometimes the dresses are too short but a quick tip for this is dress extenders.
