It was a cold and raining afternoon on this day in September.  Weather is always my nemesis when it comes to fall photo sessions.  Sometimes we get lucky and have one of those beautiful days that we all love about fall but then it seems more often than not we have cold, wet, or windy days.  This was one of those.  All day it rained off and on and then cleared up, I thought we were saved but then as I was driving to our location, The Peace and Rock Garden in Minneapolis, it started raining pretty good.  BUT as soon as I arrived it stopped and stopped good for 45 minutes and then as soon as we finished it started back up.  I was thankful.  This was my first time photographing at the Peace and Rock Garden, it’s quite a lovely spot of course it’s not actually that large of a space and there were at least 5 other photographers there so that’s always a bummer for me as I don’t want to get in their way and I don’t want them in my way.  lol.  It’s odd too because this location requires a permit fee so you’d think that maybe the Minneapolis Parks department could limit the amount of permits they let out.  In any event, we had a great family photo session and got lots of fun images.  I’m going to go ahead and share my favorites here.
