A Visit to the Special Care Nursery for a Fresh 72

I love photographing Fresh 48 sessions in the hospital.  They are my favorite way to photograph newborns.  So on this day I met a former NICU family for the arrival of their second baby a brand new baby boy.  He too found himself in the NICU but in the Special Care Nursery unit of Children’s Hospital Minneapolis.  We had planned on a Fresh 72 (which is what a Fresh 48 session is for c-section babies) so I was ready to go and prepared to meet him.  Such a small little peanut weighing in at 4lbs 7oz and only 17.3 inches long but can you believe he was ready to go within the 72 hours of his birth?  What!?  That was so amazing and unexpected because when their daughter was born they spent much more time in the NICU with her. 

He was so alert, I mean just look at his big wide eyes.  I cannot wait to photograph him through his 1st year!  I’m excited that he will be one of my Baby Planners this year.  Baby plans are my all inclusive baby sessions for baby’s 1st year, the best way to make sure you don’t miss capturing any milestones that your baby does. 

Anyway be sure to check out mom’s hospital robe.  So pretty, it really makes for a great Fresh 48/72 session when mom can look and feel her best and be comfy!  Great choice!
