When the temperatures drop I like to think back of vacations past. I know I've shared our California vacation images but I haven't shared the images I took on film which I believe I might have taken more of. I absolutely adore using film especially on my vacations. Soon I may not even travel with a digital camera any longer. I really only end up loving my film images anyway.
As a reminder my family and I spent three weeks in California this summer. We started in Laguna Niguel where my sister in-law lives. This makes heading to the beach super easy and the kids and I love being at the beach every day. We also visited my family in Riverside which is inland from the coast. Then we drove up north driving through Big Sur and Carmel to head up to Lake Tahoe for a friend's wedding. Then made our way over to wine country where we spent a week in St. Helena with my husbands family. St. Helena is actually where my husband and I were married back in 2003. So we took the kids over to where we got married, Harvest Inn.
I love spending weeks in California during the summer but unfortunately this might be the last summer we are able to do this. With Kendall's softball commitment and Tyler wanting to get a job taking 3 weeks off is a bit of stretch. Three weeks might be off the table but hopefully shorter versions will still happen. Maybe we should think of heading to Cali during the winter or spring break since here in Minnesota it's quite important to get away. We can only handle so much snow and cold temps before we need to head somewhere warm. So without further adieu let me share my analog film images from our California vacation.
