Memories fade, but photos last a lifetime. This fall, I had the pleasure of capturing some beautiful memories for one special family at the historic Burwell House in Minnetonka, MN. Even though the house was under construction, the grounds were just perfect for their family photo session. Mom, dad and their three young boys looked incredible for their photos – mom even wore a dress from the client wardrobe! It has been such a joy to watch this family grow throughout the year as part of my family membership program. Let’s take a closer look at this beautiful autumnal session!

A Special Location Deserves Special Memories

Charles H. Burwell housed his business at the Minnetonka Mills Company, an elegant 19th-century structure overlooking Minnehaha Creek and representing a major piece of history in Hennepin County west of Minneapolis. From its indulgent Carpenter Gothic/Stick style architecture to its symbolic importance in Minnetonka’s milling past, this picturesque estate cornerstones the allure of the American West back when our ancestors rode horses and built mills by hand. As a photographer passionate about capturing exquisite moments, I take great pleasure in exploring the infinite opportunities present in places such as this to capture forevermore the beauty that is yet to be discovered.

The Client Wardrobe Makes Everything Easier

I’m proud to offer my clients access to my high-end client wardrobe for all their photo sessions. Mom had gotten all the boys outfits ready for their session but was undecided about what she would wear.  She sent me a picture of their outfits and I brought a few dresses with me and a pop up tent for her to change into.  Once mom put on the dress her oldest son looked right at her and told her she looked like a princess.  I mean really, melt my heart.

Creating Lifelong Memories with Every Session

What I love most about being a photographer is that I get to help families create lifelong memories with each photo session we do together. This particular session was extra special because it was the final session in their year long family membership.  It’s been amazing photographing and watching them grow together as a family over this time.  It’s really been so much fun! I’m sure they will cherish these photos forever – just like they will cherish all their beautiful memories together.
