There is nothing quite like looking back at family photos and reminiscing on memories that have been made. As a luxury photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing these special memories for families for many years. One of my favorite families to photograph is the one consisting of a loving mom, dad, and two now-teenage boys. I have been photographing this family every year since 2012, and it has been an incredible journey watching them grow. Our latest fall family session took place at Como Park in St. Paul, and I cannot wait to share the details with you.

As mentioned earlier, the fall family session this year was held at Como Park, and I was excited to be back at this favorite location. The park is vast and offers a lot of options for outdoor photographs. It was a beautiful day, and the sun was shining brightly. Once the family arrived we immediately started with some classic poses. It was surprising for me to see that the teenage boys had grown even taller since our last meeting.

During the session, we tried to capture some poses similar to those we had done in the past years. However, we had to be mindful of one of the boys who had recently broken his collarbone. This meant we had to avoid poses like the classic “high-five” photo. Nonetheless, the boys were very cooperative, and we found new poses that worked perfectly. We even had time for some fun candid shots, which beautifully showcased the family’s dynamic personalities.

It is incredibly fulfilling to have the chance to photograph families like this one over the years. Not only do I get to be a part of capturing precious memories, but I also get to witness families grow and form strong bonds. This fall family session at Como Park was another successful shoot, and I am thrilled to have captured these memories for them.
