These first time parents were so excited to finally welcome their beautiful baby girl into the world. Although she was an older newborn, this gave us the opportunity to capture her personality that had already started to show. I’ve been honored to be part of their lives as I have been able to document this special time for them with a maternity session, Fresh 48 session, Holiday Mini Session and soon a Sitter Session and 1 year portraits. We were also able to incorporate their dogs into the shoot! Keep reading to find out how we made it all happen.

In Home Lifestyle Newborn Sessions

The in home lifestyle newborn sessions are always so much fun. They take place in your home which is where so many memories with your little one will be created. The idea behind these sessions is quite simple; I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed while being able to capture those special moments between you and your loved ones. As I mentioned prior, baby girl was an older newborn so we were able to really capture her personality at such a young age! She was full of smiles and it almost felt like she knew how important this moment was for her family.

Incorporating Pets Into The Session

One of my favorite parts about lifestyle newborn sessions is incorporating pets! This particular family had two adorable pups that they wanted included in some of the photos- while keeping them away from the actual session inside (which can be tricky!). We ended up doing a “family shot” with both of their dogs outside which turned out perfect! It was definitely one of my favorite shots from that day and showed off all four members of their growing family.

Adventuring Outside For Some Fall Foliage Photos

We then decided it would be fun to head outside and take advantage of all the beautiful fall foliage surrounding us! Baby girl looked gorgeous in all neutral colors against the vibrant fall leaves- talk about a perfect combination! These outdoor images were definitely some highlights from our session together as well as we were able to really utilize nature’s beauty within each shot.

I am so grateful for having worked with this wonderful family who welcomed me into their home on such a special day. We were able to create timeless images full of love, joy, and laughter that they can cherish forever!
