When I see a mom show up to her family photos wearing a beautiful flowy maxi dress a big part of of me is jumping for joy!  Because not only does she look beautiful but I know she’s going to love her images so much more.  Flowy dresses photograph the best!  When you feel good you look good, it’s just science.  I definitely used to be all about casual photo sessions but when you invest so much of your time and less face it money towards your photos, you should be dressed nice.  I like to say dress like you are going to church.  Because this is you at your best.  Obviously for in home sessions a more casual look will reign.  But I also love seeing dressed up at home sessions too.  Anyway we headed to one of my favorite nature centers and it was brutally cold out but apparently the cold was not detouring any other photographers because Tamarack Nature Center was CROWDED!  But we found a little cove and did our thing.  Mom was so smart because she actually wore leggings under her dress.  You couldn’t even tell.  So there is another benefit to wearing long flowy dresses, not only will they photograph beautifully but throw on some leggings and you’ll stay warm too!  We also brought a blanket to keep the babes warm.  A warm fuzzy blanket that matches your outfits is a must for cold weather sessions.  Let’s keep those kiddos warm but look cute while doing it!  I just love everything about this session.  We even added grandma and papa and aunti too for a few images.  It was such a lovely way to end the fall session.
