I have been photographing this wonderful family since we both moved to the same neighborhood.  . . . I just figured it out to be 9 years!  I was thinking 7 and then I was like wait so it’s 2020 now the first time I photographed them was when we moved here which was 2012 that’s been 9 photo sessions.   I seriously cannot believe it.  In my head I think oh I’ve been photographing children and their families for 10 years but apparently I’ve actually been doing this for 11 going on 12 years now.  Where does time go?  Just another testament to why it’s so important to make time for family pictures.  Our families grow so fast that in a blink of an eye our kids are grown!  Anyway I’ve had so many photo sessions with this family that we’ve almost done them all so we are starting to do some twice.  And this backyard trail is always favorite with the families I photograph that live in the same neighborhood as I.  It’s so easy to get to that the choice is simple.  Trails in general can be great locations for photo sessions because with younger kids you get to explore but with older kids it’s just a regular walk and if you give kids something to do it’s much more fun that a dreaded photo session.  

I mean just look at this first picture.  This was picture number 1.  When the first picture is a success you know the whole photo session is going to be a success.
