Mom and dad are expecting their first baby and its due any time now. They are both so excited to meet their little one and I just know they have been busy getting everything ready for the newborn. The green dress mom is wearing is from the studio wardrobe but she also brought in the kimono to wear as it was her sister’s and she had worn it at her own photo session. I love when things that have special meaning are brought to the photo session.

Maternity photography is such an important time to capture. It is a time of lots of change and anticipation. I feel so honored when parents trust me to document this time for them. For this particular maternity session, we did some classic poses and we were able to mix it up with the two different outfits so the parents have a variety of images to choose from. I know they will cherish these images for years to come.
