When I met this beautiful mama and her baby, mom was just out of the hospital after having her. She had originally been admitted early for pre Eclampsia and had found out that baby girl had a growth restriction, doctors that day had decided she would stay for 5 weeks and get her to a healthy 34 weeks, unfortunately that night things changed and she underwent an emergency C section at just 29 weeks. This beautiful baby is still in the nicu until her due date, she is on Cpap machine for breathing but is really doing well. Mom sent me recent pictures and it’s amazing to see how much weight she’s gained in the few weeks since I last saw her. But here she is at just a couple of weeks old weighing only about 2lbs.
