As a North Oaks family photographer, I've explored endless locations around our small little city for photo sessions and met countless incredible families! Sometimes the locations are the standout of a session, and sometimes families swiftly steal the spotlight. But every now and then, a location and a family fit together so seamlessly that it feels meant to be! And after just a quick glance at the Kraus family's photos, you'll certainly agree that their session on the North Oaks trails was one of those magical treats!

North Oaks really is a flawless location for family photography sessions.  And if you live here you certainly agree.  So many families who live right here in North Oaks choose to have their photo sessions close by.  In fact the Kraus family lives right next door to me and we were able to walk right over to the trails for their family photo session.  This was perfect because their puppies were able to join us.  Many locations won't allow dogs but along the trails of North Oaks that's not a problem. 

I've been watching these boys grow from the time the youngest was probably 6 months.  Our first session together was actually an in home session the winter after they moved into their beautiful new home and became our neighbors.   This recent session was like all the others perfection from beginning to end!

They told me before our session that they were really looking forward to getting some images of the dogs in their photos, and, thanks to some amazing puppies, it wasn't difficult to deliver!  The dogs pretty much looked at me on cue!  This is not always easy to do.  

But let's be honest: how could the images from our North Oaks family photography session be anything less than captivating with a family like this one in front of the lens! Finding the perfect spot to take family photos isn't always easy, but sometimes you really don't have to go far.  The trails in your very backyard might be perfect.  

As a family photographer, I am uniquely blessed to work with the same clients repeatedly as their family grows and changes. I love to document the deepening love between parents, growing (and new!) littles, and even the arrival of new pets in the family! Our families transform so much from one year to the next, and I treasure every chance I get to bear witness to those changes.
