Every year I talk about how I don’t do many senior photo sessions because it’s not really what I specialize in. But every year I always do a few seniors and every time is so much fun! After every senior session I think I need to do more of these! Well this year I did 5 seniors! This senior lives right down the street from me and it was an honor to see him again. Even though he lives right around the corner I feel like I haven’t actually seen him since the kids were in elementary school. My son used to love playing with him on the street. He was the older kid that all the younger kids looked up to and he was definitely a good roll model. He’s still a great kid even though I guess almost an adult already. It’s so hard to believe how fast time goes by and the little kids on our street are getting all grown and heading off to college or work or gap years or whatever. They are all exploring what is right for them.
This senior session was held at a favorite location in our city, Hill Farm. This location is quite popular with people who live here and even with those that don’t. Of course you can’t visit Hill Farm unless you live here or are invited by someone who lives here because did you know that North Oaks is a private community city? I feel very lucky to be able to offer this location to clients who don’t live in North Oaks because I do and it’s not very far from most areas and everyone loves the red barn.
I usually recommend senior photo sessions to take place in the summer after your junior year (summer before your senior year). This session was done in the fall but luckily they had already did yearbook photos with the school photographer for the yearbook and I think that was a fabulous idea. We were able to purely focus on him and not the yearbook. Let me share some of my favorites from this senior photo session and Hill Farm in North Oaks.
