I have become so fond of the maternity sessions in my Minneapolis studio.  We have so much fun playing dress up.  I love that I have a studio wardrobe to offer clients making their session stress free because the hardest part of scheduling a photo session is finding that perfect something to wear.  I have over 40 dresses to choose from.  While a petite session won't give you that much time to try on a bunch of different dresses you will still have time to find the perfect one to be photographed in.  Signature maternity sessions give you the opportunity though to try on and be photographed in at least 3 different dresses.

But let's talk about this beautiful mama.  Two of the dresses she chose aren't even maternity dresses.  That's the beautiful thing about my wardrobe, the dresses I supply can usually fit a wide arrange of mama's.  This session was all about this mama to be which I really do love most.  It's such a fun time chatting about baby names and what to expect.  She's going to be a wonderful mom.  The first year after having a baby is such a blur but it's such a wonderful time. The newborn stage goes by so quick; they are never that little again.  Tummy time is fun even though they usually don't like it.  Sitting is my favorite milestone.  They are so happy at their new skill and they don't crawl away, but alas that doesn't last long.  Standing is a quick cute milestone as well and before you know it they are a year old and celebrating their first year.  It really is crazy how fast it all goes by.  It's one of the reasons I became a photographer!  I wanted to freeze time at each little milestone!  But before we get too far ahead of ourselves lets take a moment to remember back to the maternity session where it all began.
