Every time I get to photograph a new family, it’s like stepping into the magical world of dreams. It doesn’t matter if we are in my natural light studio or on your living room floor – there is something so special about capturing those moments that only exists once they’re gone! I absolutely loved documenting this Minneapolis newborn photography session with Jennifer and David’s little girl Kinsley because she was such sweetheart from start until finish. She hardly put up any fuss at all during her photoshoot which made photographing them extra easy breezy while also providing some great photos.

“We were so excited and we’re ready for our lives to change completely,” Jennifer said when I asked them about the moment they found out they were pregnant! And now here we are today, ten months later!

I asked what their first thoughts were when baby Kinsley finally entered the world (which happened on January 19th, btw) and they were overjoyed and shocked that she was actually here!

So precious.

Mom told me that being able to capture the love and happiness of having a newborn was her favorite part of our session together. How sweet is that?

Look at these photos and tell me you aren’t suddenly overcome with love! And can we talk about the outfits they all wore? Mom, dad and baby were fully dressed from the studio wardrobe making it easy to prep for the session because when I asked Jennifer how they prepped for this session she told me, all they had to do was think about baby and they made sure she was full so she could sleep during the photos.

And their advice now that the session is over and done with is: “Relax and enjoy the moments with your family because they will be a great representation of the love you have for your new baby”. I cannot agree more!

I am so excited to see how this family continues to blossom, and I just know there are some very special years in their future. I’ll leave you with a few more images from our session, and catch you next time!
