Capturing the early days of a newborn’s life is such a special time. I love how uncomplicated and organic newborn sessions can be. Something about keeping the focus on baby by not using props or excessive colors really allows you to see all the new and amazing details about them- like how their fingers are so tiny or their toes are perfectly formed. I think that’s why I prefer to use neutral colors when photographing newborns. They don’t steal the show from baby, but rather provide a backdrop that enhances all those precious details. Plus, newborns always look so beautiful in classic cream and white colors. All in all, I just love how simple and beautiful newborn sessions can be.
