I had the sweetest e-mail from this mom saying “I have 4 boys, can I still schedule a Motherhood session”. I immediately got back to her and said “OF COURSE! You deserve this more than anyone”. She responded with “you had me at I deserve this” Oh my goodness, yes she does. All mom deserve to have photos of themselves with their babies. Whether you have 1 or 12 you deserve it. In fact the more kids you have the less likely you have images with all them together, aim I right? I have two kids and it’s hard to 1) be in images with the both of them or 2) even have images of them together! And boys! Oh my goodness taking pictures is usually not their favorite thing that’s for sure. It was so sweet of her boys to come together and let her have a photo session with them. All her boys were sweet, the two older ones very reserved and quiet and the two year old was . . . well . . . a two year old. Full of life and a little spunk. Then the baby, very chill and absolutely adorable.

Mama chose a beautiful dress from the studio wardrobe, a favorite for sure. I was also able to dress baby and toddler brother with what I had on hand. I gave suggestions for the older boys since I don’t have wardrobe for kids over 5. But boys are really easy, a plain t-shirt or a henley and they are good to go.

We got many images of all the boys looking at the camera for the perfect portrait but my favorite is the one where they are all sitting on the floor and toddler brother is upside down laughing. I told mom what I tell all my clients with children this age. Embrace the chaos! It’s a beautiful thing.
