Last minute newborn sessions can be quite stressful.  It’s one reason I recommend scheduling a newborn session months before your actual due date.  Needless to say sometimes things get crazy and it’s the last thing we think about.  I do often get last minute requests and do my best to fit something in.  While it’s not always doable sometimes the stars align.  Like with this beautiful Fresh 48 photo session.  I had to tell mom that if baby came on its due date I wouldn’t be able to fit her in because the weekend was completely booked up so we decided on an in-home lifestyle session.  I guess baby didn’t like that I might not be able to make it to the hospital for a Fresh 48/72 session so she decided to come about a week early which then made it possible for me to squeeze the family in.  This Fresh 48 hospital session at Fairview Southdale was probably one of my longest sessions.  Usually these Fresh 48 sessions last about 30-45 minutes.   But this little angel was still trying to figure out how to eat and did not like being put down at all.  But that was ok because after some nursing images we managed to get images of baby being held and you can’t tell how fussy she was being.  Sometimes that happens and it’s just part of your story and that is ok too.  Check out my favorite image of baby singing!
