As a Minneapolis studio photographer in January and February I ran a sweet deal for Valentine mini sessions. And it’s been so fun watching all the kiddos come in and visit my subtly decorated studio. I am not one for over the top props. I love simplicity and I want your baby to be the star of the show! This was just one of the cuties that came into my NE Minneapolis Studio. How absolutely adorable is she! Bring me all the babies, this is my favorite age!

Studio sessions are great opportunities to bring your child into the studio to celebrate any milestone photo session. This little only featured here actually has an older sister but mom decided to focus on baby and I love that! Many times parents will schedule each child their own mini session or you could schedule a petite session and divide the time up between the kiddos. Children love being the star of the show and often act up when their sibling is getting the attention so sometimes it is nice for them to have their own time in front of the camera. Of course each family is different and you’ll need to decide what is right for your family.

This cutie though, was such a star. As I mentioned before this is a great age to photograph babies because they are sitting, they are enjoying tummy time they may even be standing. They enjoy exploring their environment and the studio is a nice safe space for them to do that. I even love when they know they are being stinkers by crawling away from you or rolling over fast, you always get the best giggles from that silly behavior and we have so much fun.

There won’t be any more “mini” sessions in the studio until the holidays (except for the Motherhood Event coming up on April 18th) but a petite session can be booked whenever is convenient for you. I am thinking of offering an Heirloom Event which will focus on heirloom portraits of your child. But these will have a much different feel than any of the “mini session” events I run.
